I love these words. Some of them are virtually impossible to pronounce, and I have no idea how I'd use them in a sentence, but they're fun to know. I also loved making the picture things to go with them.
1. Eleutheromania
Definition: The intense desire for freedom
2. Nepenthe
Definition: Something that makes you forget grief or suffering
3. Querencia
Definition: A place where one feels safe, a place from which one's strength of character is drawn.
4. Resfeber
Definition: The restless race of the traveller's heart before the journey begins, when anxiety and anticipation are tangled together. "Travel Fever"
5. Schwellenangst
Definition: The fear of crossing a threshold to embark on something new.
6. Sonder
Definition: The realisation that each passer-by is living a life as complex as your own.
7. Thalassophile
Definition: Someone who loves the sea; a lover of the ocean.
8. Nemophilist
Definition: One who is fond of the forest; a haunter of the woods.
9. Vagary
Definition: A whimsical, wild or unusual idea.
10. Nefelibata
Definition: One who lives in the clouds of their own imagination or dreams. One who doesn't obey the conventions of society, literature or art.
